Bluesky was literally meant to be a cryptobro social network for grifters, LinkedIn sludge, and libertarians who know way too much about age of consent laws.

Jack Dorsey *left* when instead of weird and off-putting cryptonerds, trans people started hanging out here.

A watercolour painting with a block quilt inspired layout, there's a mustelid or an element of mustelid diet in each block. The mustelids from top to bottom are the American mink, badger, stoat, pine marten, weasel, river otter, and polecat. Parts of their diet included are rabbits, eggs, fish, frogs, fruit, and birds.

I rock up to strip poker night wearing a t-shirt with an image of a Russian nesting doll on it. When I lose my first hand, I take it off to reveal I was wearing a second shirt underneath with a smaller but otherwise identical print. After the sixth shirt I am thrown out of strip poker night.

I feel like there reaches a point where it’s no longer shameful because you transcend from “slut” to “fertility goddess.” Zucchinis and shit probably sprout up where she walks now.

This is something the Nazis used to do to Jewish children in the camps. It happened to a man I knew when he was a child in Auschwitz. The camp guards thought it was funny as hell.

also, we’re still very much in the #SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

the average adult is on their 5th #covid infection.

#LongCovid is now the most common childhood health condition.

the folks in charge have been continually shooting us in the foot ever since they declared the pandemic “over” in 2022.

When someone says their country executes pedophiles and you respond by claiming that they are calling for the execution of Donald Trump, you are revealing that you know Donald Trump is a pedophile.

Thank you for you attention to this matter.

Elon Musk is betting that AI’s future lies not on Earth, but in orbit — a claim he has put at the centre of his $1.25tn plan to merge SpaceX with his lossmaking start-up xAI.

The tech billionaire, who aims to launch an initial public offering for the newly combined company this year, argues that vast fleets of satellites powered by solar energy and cooled by the vacuum of space will become the cheapest way to generate AI computing power. Musk believes this will happen within the next three years.

As of 2025:

The country with the most Spanish speakers ("speak Spanish at home") is Mexico at ~135 million.

The country with the 2nd most: the USA, with 45 million.
If you include bilinguals, it jumps to 58 million.

About 10% of all Spanish speakers, globally, live in the USA.
