We had a great time visiting Bike Edmonton's Downtown Community Workshop! Staff from Alberta Ecotrust and our partner, Dow Canada, toured the facility and learned more about their work to keep bikes and bike parts in circulation and out of our waste streams.

Sport Central collects, repairs, recycles & redistributes sports gear at no cost to children in families facing financial hardship. Recently, 43,975 items were redistributed and stayed in Alberta’s circular economy, while another 19,069 were reused internationally.

The Alberta Lake Management Society engages Albertans in water quality monitoring. This program provides people with the knowledge & equipment to collect lake water quality data.

They will use our grant funding to equip & train volunteers for this important work.

Second Harvest has rescued nearly 43 M lbs of surplus nutritious food in Alberta since 2020, redistributing it to serve equity-deserving communities.

With the Springboard Grant, they will expand their food donor network, keeping food on plates & out of landfills.

The Milk River Watershed Council Canada is committed to educating youth about the importance of the watershed. Their educational programs reach youth through programming and in-class activities in the local communities with help from our Springboard Grant.

FLT protects nearly 1,700 acres of ecologically significant land across Foothills County. Through the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation Springboard Grant, they are developing a long-term fundraising strategy to enhance their ability to conserve land in perpetuity.
