Rewatching the last 30km with my wife (a Wout fan) it was clear what a contribution Jorgenson made by driving the pace and making repeated attacks to which Tadej had to burn matches to respond. Chapeau, Matteo, you're a great American rider. And even the second time through: what a great Wouting.

There are some great US American riders in this year's Tour: Matteo Jorgenson (6th overall!) and the 2023 Vuelta champ Sepp Kuss, both riding for Visma - Lease a Bike. Neilson Powless for EF Education - Easypost. William Barta for Movistar. Plenty to root for without mentioning the MAGA. So I won't.
