Filling some small holes around the front door to stop a draught (hooray!), but upon trying to have a smooth finish I snapped the door trim (boorayΒ‘).

I am learning that owning a house means if you’ll create something to fix in the course of fixing something else.

Today the upstairs ceilings have been plastered (hooray!), but now the circuit for all ceiling lights no longer works (boorayΒ‘).

Developing powerful PPIE partnerships in the design of an inclusive weight management service: a case study from the NewDAWN programme - Research Involvement and Engagement Weight loss programmes can help people achieve remission of type 2 diabetes (T2D). People from underserved communities are less likely to participate inβ€”and may experience poorer outcomes fromβ€”weight loss programmes than people from healthier populations already better served by healthcare systems. Unless health services including weight management programmes are based on the needs of the people most in need of them, health inequalities may get worse. Here we describe how PPIEβ€”with a specific focus on reaching the most underserved communitiesβ€”has shaped a new weight management service for T2D remission and impacted the study design, stimulating new ideas to further engagement and enhance outcomes from remission programmes more broadly. We assess our approach against the UK Standards for Public Involvement in Research and the Diabetes UK Addressing Health Inequalities in Diabetes Through Research guidance, and reflect upon achievements and areas for further development.

A short account of the provenance of "The baby cried. The mommy picked it up", by Rick Prelinger, son of one of the editors of the book in which the children's stories appeared

"The baby cried..." is part of every CA student's lore.

@jackbjoyce.bsky.social tracked it down for a ROLSI.net blog.

Now Jack has heard from Rick Prelinger @footage.bsky.social, one of the children whose stories were recorded. We're delighted that he is happy to share his memories of it.

I have filtered for prepositional phrases which should keep all noun phrases as we might expect β€œallotment” to be used in this feed.

Have also filtered for words seemingly used in non-allotmenteering posts.

We’ll need a few days to really see if it makes a difference but seems promising.

Thanks for alerting me. It’s trickyβ€”there aren’t as many posts tagged as β€˜allotment life’ so I’ve made it so certain posts are filtered out. It probably won’t catch everything but we should see fewer irrelevant posts. Can revisit if needs more filtering.
