Mind boggling the statement refers to this as an act of the “coalition”. Perhaps since that’s the legal cover for Saudi mil action in #Yemen?

In a very telling letter to the council ahead of the vote, #DRC said protection of civilians “must unequivocally remain the central strategic and operational priority of #MONUSCO”. DRC urged a strengthened mandate allowing “a more mobile, proactive and preventive posture”. #UNSC @amnesty.org

@aljazeeraenglish.bsky.social is running an utterly heartbreaking report by Mohamed Vall from the Sudanese capital Khartoum. He says the destruction has rendered the city unrecognizable. And it shows vividly in the report. If you’ve ever been to Khartoum, you’d recognize many places now in ruins.

Duterte’s lawyer says his client’s transfer to The Hague was “degrading” and amounts to “abduction”.
