How cool is this display! Went trick or treating with the boys. I take the candy with me to give out, because we live in a tucked-away street, and I love seeing all the kids' smiles!

It went splendidly! Chapter 22 of 28 outlined now, and getting close to being sorted with the detailed outline! I'm really excited for this project, and I'm having so much fun. :D

Today, after a bunch of appointments and Monday admin, I'll be working on 'Bears & Bakeries: Pie Holes' by Dylan Drakes, a novella that accompanies 'Bears & Bakeries', a story of two chonky men who fall for each other and baste each other's pies. Among other things. ;)

I might be a professional editor, but I am not a professional cake decorator. Still, the now-11yo absolutely loved it.

Weekend's over. Time to hit the books again! "El Fashela" now, and later I'll be working on the proofread of "Seriah, Daughter of Darkness".
I'm excited to dive in. Emails are done already, so is the grocery shopping. My desk is clean, too. I love my editing hole.

Working on Seriah: Daughter of Darkness, by JR Mitchell. It's clean, it's easy (well, easier), and it's like chocolate at the end of a long day.

I love Word for my final printable draft (pre-revisions). It just feels more manoeuverable.

I was up for 22+ hours yesterday, but I ended my night with a heap of writing (reoutlining a story to turn it from a novella to a full novel, apparently). It got me thinking what programs people use to write their stories. I use 4theWords (RPG for writers), and Scrivener. What do you use?

So many books, not enough time to read!

Cleaned my office and finally sorted (one of) my bookshelf(s)! Stuck up the fairy lights, too, but didn't have as many as I wanted (still looks pretty though!). Really pleased with it!

I read through the prologue of one of my WIPs today and it made me cry a bit. That's a good thing, right? So sad and heartbreaking, I hope it hits readers just as hard.

Now I need to do this to one of my WIPs. I'll try to get some initial reading in today (most of the day off!). *deep breath*

Going to work on my WIP today, and an edit, and I have to remove 4-y-o blutac from my fairylights. It's all gunky. But I am cheap and do not want to buy new ones. So goop here I come!

You've got this, the story will be so much better just for having analysed it and putting changes in place. Nice work on taking those harder steps.

I struggle with the streaming software these days. I can do basic things, but I really need to spend some time brushing up. I've been streaming since 2018, but there's a lot more that can be done with the OBS (streaming) software now. *sigh* Things change so quickly it seems.

Working on this one today, got a lot to get done, so I'll be streaming live for a few hours at twitch.tv/elementeds if you want to cowork/body double! Streaming Spirit City onscreen, a productivity game while I work behind the scenes on this one (permissions!).

I mean, that's scarier than a standard train, IMO...

I often write in 4theWords when I feel like I need a little less structure, but it all funnels into Scriv at some point, and that's where the organisation happens. My files do not look like yours though. But soon... Soon!

Day off turned into a half day (we went to the skate park, then the boys got haircuts, and donuts, and now we're home!). Got some editing done with @ekearlewrites.bsky.social and next I'll be doing more edits with @coffeequillsauthor.itch.io ! Having a great day. Oh and my house is clean now, too!
