A six year wait comes to an end. Dallas City Council voted to rezone 522-acres in southern Dallas to protect a neighborhood that once housed a more than 70,000 ton mountain of roofing debris, dumped illegally by a recycling company.

It’s interesting to see how I covered Biden. This story came not too long after the local Democratic Party was reckoning with its own racial gaps and a young county chair told me he was quitting the party due to a lack of primary, among other things.

In January, I was still in South Carolina as a politics reporter. The Palmetto state couldn’t have been more active at the time. It was primary season and the state was first in the nation for the democrats and first in the south for the republicans.
