One thing I’m enjoying about having a modern beast of a PC is playing slightly older games in a better state than they were on release - tonight I bought Metal Gear Ground Zeroes and it looks phenomenal; 4K, 60fps. Better lighting etc than it was on console, same brilliant game.

This is amazing. The CD OST is too good. Might have to buy another neo-CD console!

And the award for best Arcade intro in 1991 goes to…

On this night ten years ago I was playing Axelay on Wii U. What a night that must have been.

My boy wanted me to play Fortnite for the first time. I had a go to show him how it worked (I don’t play Fortnite) and won :) I now have a 100% win rate lol

Just watched the video and it only loads in once at the beginning but plays a full 2 missions plus bonus stage without loading again? Looks identical to the arcade too. If that’s real it’s crazy impressive.

You should :) I find once I start it I can’t stop playing. I’m compelled to do every exit. Same for Actraiser, I go back to that very few years too and 100% it.

Wonder how many times I’ve completed Super Mario World over the years. Heres another one for the books, played through on Analogue Pocket.

Hopefully he realises that the first Panzer Dragoon, beautiful as it is, is not a patch on Zwei.

About to fly to Edinburgh from Southampton. Flying time is about 1 hour 25 mins. Starting Super Mario world from the start on Analogue Pocket, wonder how many exits I can clear during the flight…
