06.05.2025 15:38 β π 10 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs the part the βwe just want to peeβ crowd wonβt acknowledge. Women donβt want to be in that situation.
04.05.2025 16:19 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0The term 'two spirit' was coined by an activist in the 90s. The indigenous term in hundreds of native languages roughly translates to "wanting to be like a woman", "man living as a woman" etc. There was no confusion about whether a man actually became a woman.
04.05.2025 09:00 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0I'm genuinely concerned that right-wing, fascist-leaning parties throughout the West are gaining traction. And I sincerely believe the mishandling of this issue ('accept our maximalist position or be cancelled/fired' etc) has helped them to some extent because it alienated a lot of voters.
03.05.2025 07:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 010 years ago a lot more people were against bathroom bills etc. The 'no-debate' approach and extreme stances of activists have lowered approval of all things gender.
02.05.2025 18:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0true...they don't care about polling when it comes to economic issues.
02.05.2025 14:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's true, Republicans have been very successful at disenfranchising Democratic party voters. But that's in no small part because the Dem establishment has been incredibly weak about countering it. Biden could have twisted arms a lot harder to get the voting rights bill passed.
02.05.2025 13:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Democrats lost to the least popular presidential candidate in history...twice.
They shivved the real populist, fielded terrible candidates that Wall Street loved, but who came across as fake and elitist, and they lost to the fake populist.
'Trans women' are male, and also rape women. Cases of female people sexually assaulting other women are vanishingly rare to nonexistent. You can't honestly equate the risk to females with the risk to males.

02.05.2025 10:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0This is a common--and misogynistic--take, that fundamentally translates as "women are going to get raped anyway, so stop fussing about males in women's spaces."
02.05.2025 07:15 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is possible, and it is something we should all try to prevent. But it's not fair to ask all women (50% of the population) to accept greater risk of violence for the sake of a tiny group of people.

01.05.2025 19:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's happened in a lot of sports. So probably only a matter of time. Official data is hard to come by, but there are sites tracking the issue.

Unfortunately you can't write 'good' or 'passing' into policy and law.

01.05.2025 17:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0So we agree that the new approach leaves no way for women to differentiate between perv and nice trans.
10 years ago, *any* male person (or non-passing trans) in the ladies' room was a major red flag, and that in itself was a major deterrent that offered a greater level of safety.
How is keeping males out of women's sports violent? Many would say that women's right to fair competition is being violated here.
Comparing this issue to slavery and child labor is ridiculous.
Well with self-ID laws, there's no difference. Anyone, pervert or just deluded, can get a certificate saying they're the opposite sex and barge into the women's changing room. I didn't make it that way. Trans activists did.
01.05.2025 16:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Men playing in women's sports is hugely unpopular. 75-80% against, in the US and the UK. You think people will change their minds? Why?
01.05.2025 16:32 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0That's a lot to ask when you consider @susan's comment above, which you brushed off. There are people under the 'trans' umbrella who are just classic dirty old men, not shiny pretty enby types. Women shouldn't have to accept them in our private spaces. No deal.
01.05.2025 16:26 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0'Sadly, a significant contribution to the prevention of sensible, two-way discussion of this sensitive issue was Stonewallβs 2015 decision to adopt an approach of βno debateβ β online, on public platforms and in the broadcast media.'

What a good pair of letters in the Guardian on the trans issue. Together they thoroughly address the carnage that has been created by activists.
01.05.2025 00:19 β π 25 π 10 π¬ 3 π 1Men are much stronger than women, and engage in violent crime at vastly higher rates than women. This is obvious.
01.05.2025 07:22 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It shouldn't be up to women to act as human shields. Men need to work on making the world safer for their trans-identifying brothers so they feel welcome and secure in male lavatories and changing rooms.
