Congratulations to NDP PEIβs new leader, Thomas Burleigh.

02.12.2025 15:00 β π 1110 π 87 π¬ 33 π 7Itβs important that even though the strike is over, we do NOT let this city council off the hook for the cost of the scab work done to undermine our workersβ right to strike. Philip Brown still has to go.
13.11.2025 12:42 β π 5 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0The city of Charlottetown has just voted in favor of accepting a collective agreement for CUPE Local 830 Charlottetown Water and Sewer workers π

Today we went door to door handing out information regarding CUPE LOCAL 830 βs strike, including naming which councillors continue to vote against our workers

07.10.2025 09:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think the piece that is the most deadly in today's Canada Post announcement is that the feds are allowing the corporation to end mail shipping via air unless the mail is deemed important. This will mean that it will take forever to mail stuff with regular fare.

19.09.2025 13:43 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Jimmy Kimmel is a symptom of a huge problem: a concentrated media ecosystem beholden to corporate whims.
Canadian media struggles with this too.
Consider Global News' management making Ben Mulroney a top political host.
It's a worryingly partisan decision, especially given what I just uncovered:
It was never about Hamas' leaders, just like it was never about the hostages. This is a war of extermination.

22.08.2025 19:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've gone through 40 years of consecutive Conservative and Liberal sell offs of our crown corporations...including Mulroney's offloading of AirCanada
16.08.2025 11:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In a time of trade strife, it might be beneficial to look at investing into wholly owned public services and infrastructure.
29.07.2025 13:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One would think that this toll correction might be a lesson for the government. Yet, one of the main campaign promises of Carney was a private-focussed home building crown corporation. Sounds like a hopeful idea...but again, where does the responsibility of those homes lie in the next 30 years?
29.07.2025 13:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Again, this isn't solely a bridge question. This dates back to Mulroney and Chretien selling crown corporations off, in favour of P3s. In the last 40 years we've shelved public responsibility in exchange for quick builds, where the public is locked into expensive contracts with private entities.
29.07.2025 13:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'll start this post off by saying that I am happy about the bridge toll reduction. There's always a "but" though.
This isn't solely aimed at the bridge...but as MP MacDonald side-stepped the tax question on Compass, we have to ask how is the next 7 years of Straight Crossing's contract being paid?
