A friend asked about Lindgren's decline and I pointed out something similar. He had a better time in Gallant's "system" that conceded the blue line and aimed to keep everything perimeter. Laviolette demands much more from his D in all 3 zones and Lindgren just can't keep up.

totally agree. I think the only reason he wasn’t deployed is that, despite their supposed use of advanced stats, Lavy still thinks in that old head coaching style that relies on “big bodies who play physical”. It was clear that wasn’t the case when playing Florida.
