My new song 'Madeline' is out at midnight tonight!
Unless you're in NZ, Aus etc. in which case it's already out.
Spotify numbers suggest it's already benefiting from coincidentally having the same name as a track on the Lily Allen record.

Track 5 on Lily Allen's new album is called Madeline.
Track 5 on my new album is also called Madeline.
My Instagram ads algorithm knows that I like plugins and expensive trainers I'll never buy.
But did you know that I released a little video yesterday?
Well, now you do.
Also, I have an album out next month.
Follow Arcady Bliss on Instagram please.
Going through a big Sgt. Pepper's phase at the moment.
The older I get, the more I appreciate the songwriting, arrangement and sequencing. Not that I didn't before, it's just really hitting for me at the moment.
It's also the first Beatles stereo mix that works. Sublime.
Wasn't really convinced by what I'd heard of the latest Wet Leg album earlier this year, but after watching their KEXP session yesterday it clicked - I'm in!
Faves: Mangetout and Davina McCall..
Also, Dan Carey prod, Alan Moulder mix and Matt Colton master is a dream team โจ

Gf out for the day so it's been gym, brunch at home, York City FA cup win on the wireless and a new Creamery (made in Manchester ๐) bridge pickup finally installed on the Tele.
Absolutely phenomenal as Saturdays go, tbh.
The only question now is chippy tea, chinese or curry?
It's ok guys I've got it: The Ronettes - Be My Baby.

It sounds like another massive, older song, I just can't quite place it and it's driving me mad.
Just finished listening to a Richard Ashcroft interview and was reminded of his song 'Music Is Power'.
A stone cold banger I'd long forgotten.
The guy knows how to pick a sample. The Curtis Mayfield/Walter Jackson part is so great. It's on repeat here.

Wallace and Gromit by Aardman Animations
Worth remembering that you can change the voice of your inner monologue to Wallace from Wallace and Gromit if you want.
Mine mostly says, " Ee come on, lad!" a lot and brings up cheese several times an hour.
Listened to Is This It by The Strokes on my Yamaha NS10s.
I've heard this album a hundred times, but on these it just sounds exactly as it should; it feels perfect.
Can't yet find any info to confirm Gordon Raphael mixed it on NS10s, but I'd put money on it that he did.
Incredible what a 5-0 win can do for your mood.

It's a strange paradox that the best music tech people online make the most unlistenable music.
Also, the best podcast on songwriting and songwriters has the most unpleasant theme tune.
Just back from seeing the new documentary about The Coral.
Really artfully and tastefully done - I loved it. Go and see it if you get the chance.
Came out feeling inspired, head full of melodies.
Still from 90's Lee and Herring show. A man holds a spray can standing in front of a wall with "York City are magic" sprayed on it.

The production, grooves, vocal melodies and arrangements on this are so great. They still sound fresh.
Stuart Zender on the bass, though ๐ฎโ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I honestly think this album would be a hit if it were released today.
That Virtual Insanity video was an irresistible gateway.

Fully giving in to the social media nostalgia loop at the moment.
Listening to Travelling Without Moving by Jamiroquai after watching a reel on IG.
The first cool album I had on cassette as a kid and it still sounds transcendant.
It influenced me more than I realise.

What a palaver.
Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65 stalked me today.
This morning my gf mentioned it. I told her I had the CD single and loved it as a kid (I was 10 and it's catchy as fuck, what could I do?)
A couple of hours later, I found that CD in a box looking for something.
Now this on YT!
Great new pod from The Music Venue Trust presented by my pal, Toni!

When you think of it as a 'National Trust for music venues', particularly focused on grass roots, it really makes sense.
Field Music are surely one of the most overlooked and underappreciated bands in the last 20 odd years.
They should be regarded as a national treasure. To me they are.
Prince knew. He tweeted about this banger.
Somehow I've still yet to see Radiohead, so I hope to tick them off in November if we can get tickets for the O2.
Tame Impala and Stevie are probably the only other big ones that spring to mind. Oh, and Franz Ferdinand somehow slipped through the net, too.
Whos's on your list?
Free bit of patter for you:
When anybody says something funny, just say, "haha you win the internet today!"
This also works if you want to be sarcastic.
Using it in real life, offline is an excellent way to confuse your opponent and gain the upper hand in a battle of wits.
Obvious technical and business reasons why this isn't a thing.
It wouldn't surprise me if somebody has made a browser plugin or something similar to achieve this, though.
