First game of Doomsong (by @caesar-ink.bsky.social) today. What a joy that was. Played with a group that has primarily only played dnd5e thus far. Seemed like they all had a blast. Pictures of props and table (sans chairs) before it all went down. Will add session synopsis (full of spoilers!) later

I blame @peachytips.bsky.social and his infectious genuine enthusiasm for this. I thought I’d be yoked to the GW systems for life, but I’ve been bingeing Peachys channel for the last month and it’s been eye opening. Even eyeing historicals. Those Warlord ashigaru look tempting.

March project! After a hobby slump in February, I was super inspired by the video @roguehobbies.bsky.social made about unlearning hobby habits. I pushed myself away from my regular painting style, and also painted Orks for the first time. So much fun to paint! #warhammer #killteam

Februarys project. Was very inspired to paint these in the beginning, but lost steam almost immediately. Especially when I realized I should’ve assembled a melts gunner. Ended up rushing through. Happy with the plasma though #killteam

From Saturdays game of Scythe. First (completed) play through ever, but the rules were surprisingly easily digested. Pretty great game, will probably end up on the table more in the future.

Januarys project was the terrain from Hivestorm. Finished today with days to spare! As I already had a swampland mat of the correct size for the game, I decided to paint the terrain as old, rusty, overgrown ruins. Took some time, made a lot of mistakes, but overall happy with the the look. #KillTeam
