I was afraid my mental state will start collapsing after the 3rd year of supported therapy ended in June and here we are, collapsing.

- I am trying to psych myself up until the last second only to realize I just don’t have the mental capacity to play.

I’m even struggling with ttrpgs that have been my only lifeline for years. I don’t have the capacity to play more than one major game anymore and I am struggling with attending oneshots. I feel so bad for saying no at the very last minute before a game, (cont.)

I can’t even draw!!! I haven’t been able to draw properly for years!!! I can’t finish a single piece and keep starting over and then quit in rage.

Last month I wanted to take a vacation from applying to jobs since my partner had his summer vacation and of course I now feel very guilty and disgustingly lazy for this. I feel like I have no skills, no ambition, no motivation for anything anymore.

I’m soon on the general unemployement benefits which are honestly nonexistent after taxes. The stress this will cause keeps playing in my mind over and over and over.

I also don’t feel comfortable financially to adopt since I’ve been unemployed for over a year now. This is really starting to affect me mentally to the point my thoughts are regressing back to my suicidal 15 year old self.

I’ve had to force myself to stop looking at rescues because I just start to cry. I feel like a failure and also really pathetic wanting to have a similar connection I had with Herkku and get another cat.

Losing Herkku left a huge void in me and it’s like there’s something missing. I still cry over him often and when I have really bad days I start blaming myself for his sickness and questioning all the what-ifs which then leads to self hate for the rest of the day.

Herkku was here before him so he had to get used to him and they even cuddled, but it was always initiated by Herkku. I feel mostly sad about this because our cat is more of a papa’s boy and I don’t have a similar bond with him. Don’t get me wrong, I love Romppa to bits regardless.

I think we are arriving to the conclusion that our cat doesn’t really want another cat in his vicinity, he seems to be happy being to only cat in this house. He isn’t aggressive towards other cats, but seems to prefer humans over them.
