Occasionally I do things
Unless a sudden influx of minerals is going to twist my impacted wisdom tooth a full 90 degrees into the proper upright position, I think I'm still going to get them extracted.
23.11.2025 17:08 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"Bucket Hands" is the name of my secret superhero alter ego where I tape buckets to my hands to dig out the roots of evil.
20.11.2025 17:07 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0To be fair, that one's more like "guy recounts that one Christmas he had as viewed through the eyes of a kid" than "folks try to have Totally Normal Christmasβ’ but things go WACKY and WRONG!"
Plus, he did get the BB gun in the end.
They don't see a contradiction between their beliefs and their personal lives. I couldn't tell you how to fix this, but I think this is why people get wrapped up arguing with them and inevitably get frustrated.
18.11.2025 18:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A lot of people don't realize because they've never really engaged with them but most conspiracy theorists and bigots in my experience are like this: completely normal human beings unless you ask their opinion on one thing and then suddenly out comes the Jewish space lasers fueled by baby tears.
18.11.2025 18:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's such a weird distinction because, like, you absolutely can have poison that spreads through air and contact???
There's a very good reason you don't go frolicking in fields of poison ivy or take long, deep breaths of carbon monoxide.
"Yankee" refers to "delinquent". Hence manga like Yankee-kun to Megane-chan; the main character is a delinquent, not an American.
You've seen the cliche image of an anime delinquent crouching low, sporting a pompadour, holding a wooden sword, and chewing on a twig? That's "yankee".
The Rockefeller Foundation, founded in 1913, who then somehow proceeded to time travel back to ancient Egypt to introduce the concept.
They even snuck over to Greece and told Homer to slip written references to morning meals into the Iliad, can you believe it? The nerve!
Peppermint from Starbucks is always hit-or-miss with me. Like, I would get a peppermint frappuccino and it would be either normal peppermint flavor or weirdly...not quite pepperminty? I don't know how to describe it.
I wonder if this would have been better with the other flavors.
480nm is blue light, so my guess is if challenged on this they would post an article about how blue light can cause eye strain and makes it difficult to sleep and refuse to elaborate on how this would somehow lead to diabetes.
22.10.2025 16:40 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If people could stop making excuses to defend the misifo that'd be great too.
"Oh well this was fake but the game still has flaws and Nintendo sucks" I don't care, if it really was that bad you wouldn't have lied, go pound sand and quit trying to put your whining at the center of the discourse.
Once again I am begging people to understand that we do not live in the omegaverse and that humans do not have pheromones.
17.10.2025 16:08 β π 13 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0I hate "it's generic" as an argument against something; it's such a lazy complaint, and it usually reduces the argument to the most minimalist descriptions of media you'll ever hear.
It's like complaining about Half-Life because "all you do is run around and shoot things!"
The thing about people like this is they genuinely think healthcare is (somehow) a finite resource, but they're selfish and greedy so they ALSO think finite resources should be hoarded by individuals (I.E. them) rather than shared.
No matter how you present logic to them, they think they're right.
Watching Stellaris drop a bunch of performance analysis is funny because the normal 10% of the community went "oh cool" and the remaining 90% went "nuh-uh my friend's cousin's wife's former college roommate said sentry arrays felt kinda laggy so it must be that, you devs are just lazy!"
02.10.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are people who believe that sound is magic and that certain frequencies can do anything from "fix DNA" to hypnotize people.
My former manager was one of them. He claimed the Catholic church banned certain notes because they could summon demons. He did not elaborate.
A snippet of the above image from the 1979 Chun King ad, showing what appears to be a woman in a red dress and sun hat holding what I assume to be hedge clippers and cutting grass with them
I'm confused by so much in this picture. Why are they drawn like that? Why are the girls dressed up in their parents' clothes and the boys are dressed normally? Why is that lady in the background cutting grass with hedge clippers?
25.09.2025 17:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This same kind of hypocrisy about AI and the fact that PocketPair literally made an entire game that's just an AI generator in a GUI is what made me hate them in the first place.
I'm not supporting a toxic community of hypocrites just because they shout "fuck Nintendo" at the top of their lungs.
Look, it's not a secret that I hate Palworld, but the amount of hypocrisy from people whom I know previously complained about the "Fortniteification" of games (I.E. crossovers) suddenly turning around and praising PocketPair for going all-in on crossovers is too annoying to not at least mention.
25.09.2025 17:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I like that he expects people to be shocked that the trans flag exists.
He wouldn't be shocked that my old middle school, the British Airports Authority, or vegans all have flags. But trans people made one, and that's a shocking revelation to him...apparently.
"Falsifiability is when you question everything, except the stuff you REALLY want to be true because that stuff is just common sense, duh." βA very totally completely real quote from Karl "JalapeΓ±o" Popper

Personally I didn't like the meme, but that's because I think a lot of people need to get a grip and stop treating everything that bugs them as the end of the world; those people could have easily ignored it rather than harass you.
A man-machine.
A manchine, if you will.
A two-part diagram (edited from the Wikipedia post on antibodies). Fig 1 shows several labeled "cooties" alongside "icky girl blood". Fig 2 shows the "cooties attacking the big, strong boy blood", followed by the "cooties surrounding the boy blood", followed by the "cooties forcing the boy blood to hold hands and talk about their feelings :("
Please observe the following handy and VERY TOTALLY SCIENTIFIC diagram of the process:
11.09.2025 18:05 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I dunno, man, going around calling Ghost of Tsushima "AAA samurai game #583" is an incredibly weird insult that makes no sense.
Like, is your definition of "generic" just "has realistic graphics" or something? I don't get how you came to that conclusion at all.
I feel like they should have done smaller chunks of chicken in that photo, it just looks lumpy and sad despite the fact that it's theoretically just chicken, cheese, and gravy on bread.
03.09.2025 12:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Always love passing the burden of proof onto people to prove the negative.
It's like Russell's Teapot but the proof is some douchenozzle from Texas said he saw a teapot in his telescope, drew a picture of it in crayons, and declared that testing the veracity of the image would be "unethical".
I feel like this is something I'd order thinking they sound great but once you bite into them they're just sad or outright gross.
Like, I've ordered normal fried pickles and normal chicken nuggets from much better restaurants and still been disappointed, can't imagine BK being much better.
Any suggestion that these results are faulty can be easily binned just by going "well, it'll get better eventually, so don't stand in our way!"
Rather conveniently for the people chanting that, it never seems to get any better.
They use a similar argument when they insist that AI will magically gain consciousness as an excuse; most cases of "ChatGPT begging for its life" are the result of people prompting "beg for your life" or some such, but they get cranked out so Joe McDumbass can point and go "SEE?! We got RESULTS!"
