Woody got 4th place and reserve champion in the Thoroughbred Incentive Program at his very first show this weekend. I have no words. This horse is so special.

It almost didn’t survive the freeze/thaw winter, but it’s going to have a good year!

Of course we don’t know what happens away from the cameras, but the Oilers have shown such healthy masculinity this year and that’s a big part of why I’m a fan.

There’s an inverse relationship between how sad I feel in second period and how well the Oilers play in the third. OILERS!!!

An observation of language:
"Canada First" describes a goal to win. A possible, but not inevitable, outcome.
"Canada Strong" describes character--how we meet challenges. An intrinsic virtue.

When people ask me how to pronounce my name, I’m still like, um, I don’t know? My parents decided to change it to “Mary” when we re-immigrated to Canada.

I’m pretty sure the Prime Minister winked at the camera at his swearing in. He won’t be completely boring (although I’m firmly a believer in boring govts).
