…because I grew up around them, went to college with them, worked with them, & at times have one of them… I fear these people now likely share Klein’s moral/intellectual murkiness & will continue to make the same mistakes. They (we) were always dangerous, but are more so now.

This is worth watching for Coates’ clear-eyed, thoughtful arguments, but it’s SO infuriating to watch Klein conflate/confuse values with political strategies over & over. He says he doesn’t know what his role is anymore, & that is the closest he gets to a breakthrough… (1 of 3)

These higher education concessions aren't even reasonable acts of self-preservation because the demands won't end, and their institutions will continue to be targets. Each concession will lead to more demands, and what they try to save will eventually meet the same fate of that which they conceded.
