I day dream about retiring at 55, and I have started a countdown!

It is so fun, and also frustrating. But learning new stuff is hard.

Since the middle of last month, my spare time is all sock related.

I took a class on how to make heels and toes on my CSM (circular sock machine) and now I only want to make socks. Work is impacting my sock making time.

I am 13 ish hours in and 18 to go!

MasterWeaver. They were designed and made in Canada in the 70s and 80s I believe. This one has 8 sided discs that act like heddles but require no threading!! Like an 8 shaft loom! You just spin it around to warp it. Genius.

But, but! Are you going to thwack your knit to set the twist like you would a skein?

My husband has switched to asking me how big when I tell him I bought something. Mebbe because it has been an entire floor loom too many times!

I like to make things with yarn. Oh, and make yarn. I think this is why I consider myself a fiber artist, subset of just generally an artist.
