New research from Stanford, the Bank of England, and King’s College London finds Brexit has hit the UK hard: ⤵️GDP: Down 6–8% since the referendum 👉roughly £2,000 per person per year lost. ⤵️Investment: Down 12–18%, a drag that compounds over time. ⤵️Employment & Productivity: Each down 3–4%.

1) The ‘dossier’ detailing the BBC’s editing of the Trump speech literally edited Trump’s speech.

Trump’s denials have now become so devalued that he has resorted to one billion dollar threat to intimidate legitimate commentators. Those who are now relentlessly enabling Trump, whether through greed or fear or wilful ignorance, deserve to be exposed and pilloried.

Cheats and bullies often act in a way that they believe will be plausibly deniable. Trump believed his actions in choreographing events on Jan 6th were justified and that any accusations of incitement to insurrection would be plausibly deniable.
