I post a lot of birds too, but snakes are my absolute favorite thing to find, and I love all herps. Would love to see more wild herp photography on Bluesky.

I have the same complaint. I follow so many great herpetologists and herp photographers on Instagram. Not having that here has really limited my Bluesky experience so far.

A small gray snake flipped upside down to show its bright orange belly.

One of my favorite old photos is this one, of a southern ringneck snake. These #snakes show off their bright undersides when threatened, and this one made two perfect loops with its body and tail while being photographed.
