Hi Julia, yes I set up a profile but havenβt really used this so much.
11.10.2025 08:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you, Iβm on X too, I got it there πππ
20.09.2025 10:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Thank you!! π
25.04.2025 19:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hi All, Iβm still on X but I have fox cubs again. If youβve left X, here they are for you!! π
25.04.2025 14:43 β π 10 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0@norfolkbea.bsky.social, please re post, many MPs conveniently ignore individual emails. The Planning & Infrastructure bill, could be disastrous for nature. The wildlife trusts ask us to co-sign their own letter. We need to make sure our voices are counted. action.wildlifetrusts.org/page/169472/peβ¦
25.04.2025 14:38 β π 6 π 8 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve not heard that but it certainly sounds possible.
06.04.2025 17:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I know how you feel, you would know whatβs best in the end, if it ever came to it. It depends if you/badger group think a vet would can help, if itβs a trapping whilst a scared badger is still mobile and very alert, just to be put down, trapping and the stress of trapping may not be the best option.
06.02.2025 07:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Haha! Yes, weβve had the alarmist badger reverse, to new garden ornaments!
06.02.2025 07:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I totally believe that, heβs right. Wild and free as nature intended. Trapping is incredibly stressful so it has to be very seriously thought about if itβs best in the circumstances, and in hers, it wasnβt, I knew they would put her down and she wanted to do her thing to the end. Xx
04.02.2025 22:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, she would definitely have gone back down the sett, after she got her food, they were near our side & she wasnβt traveling far. They have underground chambers and if one dies underground, they believe the others will wall them up there. That certainly makes sense.
04.02.2025 22:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, she was a sweetheart & my favourite. Spent many a happy time in her company but she was determined to the end & loved her wild life & her sett matesβ¦ π
04.02.2025 22:18 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0She kept going for several weeks, coming for food & had even put on a bit of weight. I watched her go off one night and then she didnβt come the following night, she would have just gone to sleep & died in the sett, which was for the best but obviously very sad.
04.02.2025 08:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, we lost little badge in November. She wasnβt right & started losing weight, discussed trapping her with the badger group & wildlife hospital. But as she looked to have serious injuries and would likely be put down. I didnβt want her to go through the stress of trapping for that.
04.02.2025 08:00 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, itβs difficult. I actually have seen our male for a couple of weeks but Iβm pretty sure heβs just off doing Brock stuff π
04.02.2025 07:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Heβs male though & heβll be out and about chasing after the ladies, thatβll take out some fat reserves too!!

29.01.2025 07:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Awww π₯°
29.01.2025 07:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, that sounds about right!!! I saw the female, after a long absence, opened the door, she ran, skidded, fell in a heap, got up and bolted off like a scared rabbit! Where normally, theyβd stop. Iβve seen them on camera sucking up worms so theyβre happy enough!! Iβm sure yours will be ok too ππ
28.01.2025 08:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He looks ok to me. They can live off their fat reserves in Winter and donβt come out as much, sleeping for days or staying in the Sett. They can also be more wary & skittish in Winter, even avoiding friendly humans. In the Autumn they are obsessed with eating to bulk up, they are less eager now.

Let's put nature at the heart of our planning system.
Maybe one day! π
23.12.2024 21:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I live in the seaside town of Leigh-on-sea and badgers are very common here π They are hugely adaptive to urban settings. Which surprised me at first. Sarah is right, if you do find a sett let your local badger group know π
23.12.2024 21:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Storm darragh has brought strong winds here for a couple of days now, so I was really pleased to see Psycho earlier. Hope everyone else is okay out there..ππ€
08.12.2024 12:29 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I know itβs the same here, they really donβt like confrontation.
08.12.2024 12:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Awww!! π₯°
08.12.2024 12:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs good to hear! Glad sheβs ok. Yes, they can often be jittery this time of year too. Where even opening the door can have them hightailing it down the garden. Bless them! π₯°
05.12.2024 18:47 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The foxes dominate here too. Itβs frustrating that the badgers donβt βgrow a pairβ π€£
05.12.2024 07:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Probably just in winter lethargy. Ours are currently visiting every other night and it will reduce further. Badgers do like their βduvet nightsβ after the Autumn feast up! Plenty of body fat to keep them going whist they have lazy periods π
05.12.2024 07:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0π¦ π¬ What you lookin at!
