My wife and kids love playing “99 Nights in the Forest” together. My son requested a “99 Nights” birthday cake so my wife whipped together this campsite cake while he was at school. She used 5 candles as the campfire. It hurt to cut into this one. Once the fire was blown out, no one was safe.

My son turns 5 tomorrow. We took the whole family AND grandma to an amusement park today. I’m sure I’ve displayed how insanely proud I am of him. How enamored I am to see him grow and develop. Getting him out of his shell is tough, but when it happens he shines so damn bright.

We took in two kittens tonight which was a very emotional event for our family. Our last cat died last year. Tonight my son said, “I love them so much I think I’ll cry. I’m half happy, half sad.” I’m emotionally regulating myself. But here we are…new cat owners. #Caturday is back on, baby!

Haha no. They haven’t gotten to that stage yet. But the other day I asked my oldest daughter what kind of music was playing on the radio and she correctly pegged it as Jazz. I was like, “How the heck do you know that?”

I live in a place where there are more country western radio stations than there are cowboy boots. Just give me ONE hip-hop station that doesn’t pretend that r&b co-inhabits the same home. In the late 80s I’d get at least get one hour of pure hip-hop every Saturday. I’ll even take that.

I lost my wallet so I had to get a new Costco card. But then I found my wallet so now I’ve started a series. Hope I can keep doing this until he’s able to hold me.

Meanwhile, Israel continues to bomb several counties at once (seemingly with total impunity) and we’re still waiting for the Epstein files to be released.

My whole career has been built on some “hear me now, believe me later” type shit. I’m rarely loved or appreciated at the “hear me now” stage. And that’s…OK.
