Update: just reached the opening of Chapter 3 last night, the introduction of Majima as the 2nd POV character (which I wasn’t expecting, even while I wondered who the eyepatch guy was on the cover with Kiryu), and it was, like, masterful storytelling and characterization. Felt like anime Deadwood

I’m like, this game is already so good and funny and genuinely compelling, and I only just finished the opening chapter of it, and you’re telling me there’s at least 6 more full games to go, not including the Like a Dragon ones?? Can they keep the quality going?? I’ll find out

the rockabilly/punk/“yanki” band who are actually the most polite softboys in the world and need Kiryu’s help figuring out how to approach their first live Q&A, I love it. I love Kiryu’s legit toughness tempered with his genuine kindness, he already ranks with Geralt and the game JUST started

I spent my play session last night just doing minigames, which over the years i’ve heard is a big part of these games but never expected to actually get into. The claw game at the sega arcade, the batting cage, the bowling alley with the lady talking about my sexy bowling form, all sooo good

finally started playing Yakuza Zero after getting the whole series on a steam sale, and like, WOW the story pulled me in so much quicker than I expected. The sheer hype of fighting my way through the Dojima HQ culminating with the Kuze fight was off the charts

Feels like a funny & fun chaos-magic-style conflux of things or whatever

I love how in Creature Commandos (in a set-up that is already pretty similar to the B.P.R.D) David Harbour plays “Eric Frankenstein”, whose character design physically resembles Hellboy, whom Harbour played in a movie! Harbour also starred in “Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, Frankenstein”!

I haven’t been painting or drawing nearly as much in the last couple of years, mostly due to health issues (but also, in more minor ways, because the prevalence of AI art is psychologically discouraging) but I will continue the cow’s journey someday! I’m even working on a yearning cow song!

5 years ago (give or take a couple months), I saw a great image of a cow yearning for the sea and repainted it to better fit the way it made me felt

This album combines awesome instrumental tracks by a couple of my oldest internet friends, and my vocals/lyrics! I’ve been working on songs for the next album too (which’ll probably be made completely by me), I’m very excited to share some of it soon! Also working on an acoustic version of Vol. 1!

I was weirdly stoked to see Krypto in the Superman teaser, like something feels very nice and cool about showing Superman actually saving people but also he has people/dog who can save him 🥺 I think the teaser captured the warmth at the heart of the best classic Superman stories
