A Black Bear crossing the road in front of me. I walked right past it while it was in the shadows. It 'huffed' as passed by, so after 20 paces I swivelled to get the shot. They generally don't want anything to do with people and leave quickly.

In Docklands district Melbourne too! I've also seen them at the anchorage hotel in Nelson bay NSW last year
