Just to be clear, this isnβt my field at all. Iβm mostly just a curious bystander tossing out half-baked thoughts based on very basic knowledge of the topic.

I follow. Launch emissions can be reduced with better rockets, but once satellites are in orbit their reentry mass is fixed. Iβm curious how much reentry byproducts this adds to the upper atmosphere and what it means for ozone and climate, seems like we need more studies as constellations grow. π€

AI generated image of a Starlink satellite in space floating over the planet.
It just occurred to me that there is roughly β 4,600+ metric tons of SpaceX satellites in the sky. These are expected to have a lifespan of roughly 5 years. A quick search and all I'm seeing researchers modeled the release of 10,000 tons of aluminium oxide annually by 2040. Is this enough? #starlink

Screen shot of my first time using Kdenlive and it's turning out to be amazing. Dam.
When you don't trust live demos for a presentation at a conference so you record the demo and add a comment to your slides
> This Live demo was brought to you by an MP4 file on my desktop. Enjoy!

Screen shot of Github commits on Traefik's Github repo saying "Sorry, they won" as a commit message.
Traefikβs automatic wildcard certs once made setting up dev environments a breeze but now it seems theyβve lost the certificate integration battle. What does that mean for users? βSorry, they wonβ isnβt the commit message anyone wants to write. #traefik #certs #ssl #letsencryptfail

AI still lacks βcommonβ sense, 70 years later
Whatβs obvious to people still isnβt always obvious to machines
An intelligent person may express something simply when they deeply understand a topic. Another expert would see this as a sign of mastery, while the same comment from a child wouldnβt be seen as advanced knowledge. The issue is that AI doesnβt take this βcommon senseβ approach in interactions.
