This year, I intended to spend 2 hours a day writing. That was up-ended when I was asked to teach an Aramaic course with little prep time. Now I spend those 2 hours preparing for reading Daniel with students. It has been a wonderful, life-giving experience to be back in Aramaic.

Does anybody have any recommendation for someone who has dyslexia to learn biblical Hebrew?

Most streamers have a feature called audio descriptions that describes what is happening on screen. Why don't they highlight that feature instead of changing scripts?

Why is it that after I post exam grades students want to email me all of a sudden?

There are a lot, especially in the biblical linguistics and IBR world. My mentor, Chip Hardy and anyone who studied up under Peter Gentry usually has these qualities. At least the ones I know.

My first post on Blue Sky! Until the New Year, I will probably not post too much. I limit my social media in order to focus on other things. But, since so many academics have switched here, I hope to interact more here than on other platforms.
