Open Farm Sunday is always a fantastic dayπ§βπΎ We really enjoyed chatting to members of the public about the importance of looking after our soils and how full of life #soil is! I was also really encouraged to hear lots of children saying how they are learning about soils in school π€© πͺ΄

Chupei, sitting in a green grassland, measuring CO2 fluxes using a transparent chamber. In the back you can see the IBS tanks used to simulate flooding in this field experiment.
The field team during a coffee break on a very hot day - the farmer created shade to sit in by lifting a large box into the air with his tractor
One of the field experiments, showing the structures built to simulate drought and flooding in the field plots
The field team being silly
Do you want to be part of our team this season, maintaining and sampling field experiments in which we test the effect of extreme weather on grassland C storage?
We have a 6-month technician position available - apply here before May 23rd!
