BBC iPlayer has just been updated to V2.40 on Apple TV where users can now access subtitles options across the app’s catalogue.

Unfortunately it appears as though the BBC have gone down a custom route, therefore ignoring Apple’s native subtitle support and user preferences.

Easily the highlight of today's screening was having my grandfather tap me during Silverstone to say "that turn was where I lost all of my teeth." Watching the final lap and seeing him relive his youth through this film will be a moment I'll cherish forever.
