I’m gonna be dogsitting in vancover for a month starting on sunday! I’m treating it pretty much like a drawing retreat to make new artwork for my summer events.

My goal is to get started on a werewolf themed major arcana tarot deck and finish the artwork for a wolf themed hoodie design! 😤

I think I may offer some commissions in this style (with stickers) in the future as I had such a lovely time making them.

I had some expired emulsion so I used it on a whim to print patches of an old ink drawing of mine. It surprisingly turned out perfect! (The other design on the screen failed completely lol)

They take markers and acrylic paint pretty well.

I had a great time doing this one! I love how your character's design really breaks down a wolves colours so clearly, so I ended up doing a fully coloured piece.

Letters from your younger self

A painting in my sketchbook; one is a cat with a hat and scarf. The other two are stylized wolves. This page is done with limited colours of tri-art acrylic paint, 3 in total. (Manganese blue, primary magenta, and unbleached titanium.)

I’m so so rusty at painting 😭 I’ve been only painting sculptures this last year, so I’m gonna have to put the work in to get decent at flat picture painting again. But for now, here are some rough sketchbook paintings!

Time to start working on some new themed furry merch!!!!

A poster for a edmonton / yeg market called Alt after dark market. It is held on Dec 19th, 7-11pm at gateway blvd. It shows my general business name (serpent stag studios) and one of my products (a screen-printed werewolf shirt in trans flag colours)

Got one more market for the year tonight! Weather is so chilly, but hopefully some edmonton folks brave the cold to visit!

It will be nice to have a bit of a break, its beens markets for me every week since November
