Again, but louder: the server can’t be reached by libraries and the folks trying to use them BECAUSE OF AI CRAWLERS.

This—and, it gives them the ability to control it without paying or respecting the people who produced the expertise.

That the modern manosphere is heavily shaped by now divorced Gen X/Xennial guys angry specifically because it became socially unacceptable to behave how they did in the 90's without consequence should be example enough regarding what the culture was actually like back then.

A quick scan of women’s music from the 90s would be revelatory. TLC’s music was a counternarrative. Lilith Fair existed for a reason. What was Riot Grrl was rioting against? Queen Latifah gave us a whole anthem.

Anyone talking about the 90s like it was a feminist haven free of a manosphere has clearly forgotten about what the 90s was actually like or never bothered to study it

Those of us who do study the 90s can point to the fact that anti-affirmative action backlash was a studied project of the right that got laundered by venues like the NYT just as anti-trans stuff is today, eg:
