北海道・本州と離島のニホンジカを比較し、骨の成長に見られる“性差”と“島の影響”を明らかにした論文が出版されました。離島のケラマジカでは性差がほぼ見られず、島嶼環境が成長に与える影響が示唆されました。絶滅動物の性別推定にも役立つかもです！論文はオープンアクセスで、以下のリンクからご覧いただけます。
