Threadleaf Crochet

This was with the beads pre-strung, but the beads went into slip stitches so I had to push the bead through a stitch to get it to the front of the work.

Yesterday’s version placed the pre-strung beads into double crochets and no such wrangling was needed.

November 3, 2025 🧵 Third iteration of the crossed cable pattern. I used smaller hooks to get a stiffer motif and crocheted into the chains instead of around them.

Crocheting into chains is a royal pain, but I love the resulting look.

October 29, 2025 🧵 I thought I’d crocheted two pairs of earrings.

But when I saw all the colors together, I realized it was meant to be one pair.

Perhaps this might work?

Both yarn strands go through the tree bead together, then they separate and pass through the round bead from opposite directions.

The knot just above the round bead is optional, as the knot at the end of the yarn is enough to secure the beads in this arrangement.
