A work in progress Knight Styrix, now armed with a Volkite Chieorovile.

After a brief hiatus (I fear my hobby knife with every fibre of my being now) I am pleased to announce that I have fixed the arm issues I was suffering with my Knight, and it now has a weapon. Other arm needs to be printed, since I’m going to be using a posable hand.

I have made a discovery, while working on the Knight project- Legs are absolute bastards. Very finicky, with lots of bits that need to be exact, with no bending or breaking of the parts themselves.

I will need to fill in some gaps with greenstuff now.

*thankfully small cut. I am very tired indeed.

My hand is fine, btw. It was a thankfully cut, and I’ve got a bandage on. All is well.

I have spent the past few hours finally starting to build my Knight Styrix-Abominant conversion, so I’ve just been working on the base Styrix kit. Aside from an accidental sacrifice to Khorne when my hobby knife cut through something quicker than expected, it’s gone well. I am tired, pic may be bad.

Well.. Poor timing for a WH40K crusade to start, considering my family and I are about halfway across the country right now. Couldn’t even assemble my big knight in time, but that’s fine. I still got a TTS game in, quite enjoyable. In the meantime, greetings from Nova Scotia. Have a cool rock fault.

Still kinda like the posing for the firstborn terminator, little man is ready to go shoot something while the Primaris one is just on a stroll. Firstborn has such aggressive gremlin energy

It’s funny, really- They get a range refresh while 1/3 of the armies in game just need an *actual range*. I try not to be whiny, especially sitting pretty as an Ork player with a relatively full range, but like.. Damn, man, I feel for WE, TS, and DG players. Least you got models tho, fat RIP for GK

Also, this literally doubles the average ranged damage of units who get the buff, since SH1 is a 50% buff. This is absoLUTELY gonna get nerfed but just like Taktikal Brigade we’ll be eating good until then, such a stupid fun rule

Honestly, that’s what playing this faction is all about- Pick a detachment that suits your favourite units, then put as many as you like down. (Morkanaut is actually quite fun in dread mob :> )

So! Forgot to post any model pics, but the tournament went quite well for my first time- 2-1 win ratio, and my team placed third. Not bad, all things considered, and I had a great time, especially due to my new Gorkanaut, Amlet.
