I tried to take a photo of a grasshopper on my windshield, but now it looks like a gigantic bug destroying the town.

with no prior context to what he is referring to, a short, bug-like man with a strange wheel-like apparatus hovering/attached to his spine, with three big, teary, pleading eyes, asks "Wait, you think, once upon a time, there was something alive to be made dead in the first place?"

a woman in a spiked leather jacket and gas mask stands motionless and silent, any expression hidden by aforementioned mask. far in the background is an anthropomorphic angelic avian, who initially sips from a goblet, before some apparently goes down the wrong pipe, prompting him to thump on his chest and cough out a stock sound effect of a bird of prey calling in the distance

the woman lifts up one of her hands- which has a large stony gauntlet on it- as if about to speak, before tipping her head and drawing this hand thoughtfully to her chin, one of her eyes briefly visible through the lens of her mask. her expression indicates she feels troubled or even outright harrowed by the realization of her answer. still not saying anything, she then opens her coat and fishes around in one of several internal zipper pockets for some unknown item

the item retrieved was a small notepad, written on its cover is "trash talk burns and 1-liners that came to me in the "hyperbolic time chamber"; inside the page she opens to is the insult "When it's ME cringe is dead. When it's YOU it's doing a merry jig over the corpse of your mother's love for you." the woman has used a photorealistic ballpoint pen with a preserved fish in its base to make addendums in red ink: she adds 'stillborn?' next to the word 'love' and adds "don't use this one on zoe again, even if he forgets i already did." as she writes, the bug-like man is looking up at her in anxious distress; he clearly registers the implications of her silence and bummed out expression.

her bullying is actually Worse when she tries to take it back (this was a followup to something on tumblr, you'll just have to deal with the in medias res flavor/lack of context)
