Morning. 🌞 Here are a couple of shots from @naturetrek.bsky.social Autumn in the Cairngorms Vegan tour taken during a long and productive day yesterday. Red Grouse almost at touching distance and Pine Marten even closer! What a fabulous place to be at this time of year. 🍁

We’ve had insane views of Western Swamphen on @naturetrek.bsky.social Go Slow in Mallorca tour. Caspian and Whiskered Terns plus a good number of migrant waders were great to see, and Little Bitterns have been ever popular.

And here's Scarlet, her scar has healed and her tail is looking fine after the mange treatment. She's still very timid and only visits at night but she's getting fitter and her limp has almost gone.

Let's hope they're more effective than Steve Reed!

I was shocked to find a recently dead calf hanging upside down in a farm barn while looking for someone to ask directions. Totally illegal, but who's to know what goes on in these dim and dark places?
