#SOTD : Ambrosia from Venus Invictus. This starts off as a sticky, decadent spiced honey fig, and dries into a musky, comforting, woody sweetness. I love a gourmand with grounding notes- and this has just enough cedar and incense and fern to balance out the indulgence.

#SOTD : Matcha Soft Serve from d'Annam. These past couple of days have actually been *extremely bad* and this is an easy reach- very realistic grassy matcha with the slightest hint of sweetness over a clean and light musky base.

SOTD: Tache de Café from Le Monde Gourmand (gifted). Peppery, papery, light. A lot of this brand's offerings run too sweet/generically mass-appealing for me, but when they hit, they really hit.

SOTD: Clementine California from Atelier Cologne (rip). Sometimes you just need a juicy, effortless, optimistic citrus. I smell this and I'm back at Hermosa Beach, early 2020, pre pandemic, not knowing how good we had it 🥲

Very different- Green Girl is a lot more pistachio/nutty to me, and sweet in a marshmallow way instead of a waffle cone way if that makes sense?

SOTD: Match Made in Heaven from Sorce. There's not much matcha to my nose, but who cares bc it's maybe the best vanilla/almond gourmand in my collection. After this, other vanillas are just too cloying or heavy or synthetic- nothing lives up to this pure waffle cone goodness

This is not a drill, I have been WAITING for an english print version of Veil for years (evil of them to do this to me during my no-buy year)

SOTD: Cape Disappointment from Treading Water. Salty, seaweedy cliffs with scraggly cypress trees clinging to the rocks, pine trees and cloudy skies

Oooh yes! Those are both standouts. Especially love Cirrus' It's Just Spiced Pears. Sorce also does the most realistic strawb I've ever smelled, in Where the Wild Things Grow
