2/2 In my circles, many Trump voters wanted strong immigration control but are hating the economic forecast. They have also been consistently lied to by Faux News about "woke folk" wanting open borders, so I'm on board with Bernie explicitly clarifying that ~no one wants completely open US borders.

1/2 My understanding of Bernie's tour is that the goal is to reach people who voted for Trump last November but aren't happy with how it's going so far. It's not clear to me what proportion of his turnout is this group, but it's the right goal; preaching to the choir won't help.

For this to work when it comes to the actual voting, we first need ranked choice voting. Otherwise it becomes a circular firing squad.
