My friend J Chris Smith is one hell of a singer-songwriter. It was my pleasure to add some keys to a couple songs off his forthcoming album, down at Greg Elkins studio. Chris is currently doing his best work yet, and I can’t wait for y’all (and me!) to hear the finished product. Seek it out, folks.

If last summer was any indication, it should be a HUMDINGER of a night full of DANK ASS MEMORY NUGS to last a LIFETIME. You know our slogan: “Like a high school class reunion, but joyous and fun instead of shitty and traumatizing.” (Music starts at the grampa-friendly time of 7pm.)

Hosted by the most chill & friendly bar in Cuyahoga County, Spotlight Cleveland . (Weather permitting, it’ll again be in their adorable side yard. But this time we’re gonna be MIKED ‘n’ AMPED, so NO ONE CAN ESCAPE THE ONSLAUGHT OF OUR MUSICAL BEAUTY.)

The first set works like the online version: Dan & I go back and forth for three songs each for a while. We do our own stuff, we do a cover or two, we even DO EACH OTHER. Then in the second set it’s COLLAB CITY, with lots of harmonies and several deeply nostalgic, Class-of-‘89-worthy tunes.

On Saturday July 12th, LETS SWAP AGAIN LIKE WE DID LAST SUMMER! Brothers Dan (Zapruder Point) and Scott (The Monologue Bombs aka ME) Phillips had such a blast last year BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME to our Northeast Ohio stomping grounds that we just HAD to at least TRY to make this an annual thing.

Thanks to the folks who came out to the show yesterday. 🙂
