We are so sad to learn of the death of David Soudan snr, whose funeral is being held today, and whose family manage the Carskiey estate on which ZD576 crashed on June 2nd 1994.

He & his family were a great comfort and support to our families. Our thoughts are with his family today.

He did order a review which cleared the pilots of blame, and who he believed had been wrongly scapegoated by two RAF Air Marshals who overturned the findings of the official RAF Board of Inquiry - so he did more than any other minister for our families. We are grateful he is supporting our fight.

To be fair to him he was the minister who cleared the pilots. They were wrongly blamed. He thought they were scapegoated and set up a review which agreed. And he apologised.
