The U.S. Dept of Education Supplies Over $1 Billion of Critical Funding to Kentucky Kids Every Year  - Kentucky Center for Economic Policy Cutting these funds could mean the loss of teachers, the end of support for disadvantaged kids, new lunch fees, and reduced student success.

Some say they want to "dismantle," "eliminate" or cut funding from the U. S. Department of Education.

But Kentucky public schools receive over $1 billion in federal $ annually, & in some rural districts it's been nearly half their budget in recent years.
