Had the urge to draw Shin Godzilla. Didn't come out exactly how I wanted but I didn't have the energy to spend lots of time on it. So, decent for first attempt.
Shin Godzilla is one of my favorite movies and possibly my favorite Godzilla movie.

After missing Neca's first release of the Last Ronin, I thought I was settling by picking up the Playmates version.

No settling required, this guy is fun. Sure, he's a little limited in parts, but this feels like an OG #TMNT toy all grown up. In other words, it nails the brief.

It legitimately sucks in a moral way that the majority of our childhood media was designed to sell either toys or American imperialism, but it sucks in a cultural way that every subsequent generation’s childhood and adult media has been increasingly our reheated leftovers.

Swat Kats was always great and got cancelled too soon thanks to moral panic at Hanna Barbera. Always a shame, that show could have been huge.

Agreed. It's also equally true the other way around (as you get close to saying in your second post), and that just because you like something and/or it says something to you, it doesn't mean it's good.
