Love it when you're visiting your hometown when someone comes up to you and asks "are you Jason Dawson?" Too funny, it was our old high school mate Dougy Rae who was also visiting Whangฤrei from Sydney for two days. It has been 31 years since we last saw each other!! Man, we are grown-ups now ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

The Case For Leaving Twitter
The paradox of intolerance and what it means for online discourse.
Very good read. | "With every passing day, the platform become more and more extreme. The algorithm is twisted to amplify far-right authoritarianism, dangerous conspiracy theories, and hatred of minorities. Twitter will go away, but the damages it has caused will not."

Highly recommend the cocktails at Astroboy in Whangฤrei. Great food, cool vibe & slick service too.

Love my new keep cup and the appropriate coffee art created by Barista Dumin at Cafe Kopi. I'm sure my Rocket Coffee tasted a lot nicer too! ๐ ๐คฃ

Nothing beats having your morning coffee with some cheeky banter & a review of the weekend's activities. That is why Dave, Sumin & Manjula at Kopi are Hamilton's Outstanding Cafe of the Year. Love your work!

After such a gloomy day, it was nice to see the sun and colour pop out at the Hamilton City Library in Garden Place.

Jeepers! Sorting through our champagne corks and found this beauty from 15th November 2002.
It's the day she said YES at Moet & Chandon in Epernay, France. We opened another bottle of champagne on the train back to Paris & called the family with the news from a phone box at Gard du Nord station.

White daisys in a miniature glass milk bottle vase. Smells like spring on a dark, gloomy, rainy day.
This gloomy, dark and rainy day calls for flowers from the garden throughout the house to brighten things up for the weekend. Love the wee daisys - reminds me of spring in the pasture โค๏ธ
