The magic isn’t over.

In two weeks will be the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Milano-Cortina, in which you’ll be able to witness exceptional athletes with disabilities do things you’d never be able to do. ✨

It is possible to be very unkind indeed but to seem "nice" while doing so, because "nice" is a measure of external social polish, as delivered by the donor.

Kindness is measured by the recipient.

Yes, it's the mid 1st century Roman fort in the NW corner of Hod Hill

It's interesting that Ian Richmond, when he dug the site in 1951-8, didn't find any roundhouses in the area of the Roman fort

Yet they're clearly there on the geophysical survey πŸ€”

The video from Nigel Farage gives the impression that he was individually refused access.

Farage is in the Maldives.

200 miles away from the Chagos Islands which are not a
tourist destination.

Hasn't got the paperwork and wasn't on the 'aid boat' he's pointing at which is trying to establish a settlement for four people on the islands.

How is this serving Clacton? Who paid?

I wonder which of these 25 ingots @findsorguk.bsky.social (all were returned to finder...) ended up being melted down?

There's very few truly undiagnostic finds - most are awaiting a person or technique to decode their secrets...

A stunning #Neolithic rock crystal arrowhead found in the pile-dwelling settlement of NeuchÒtel, Switzerland, dating from around 3500 BC. The raw material was not available in the immediate area, but came from the Alps. Rock crystal has been mined in the Swiss Alps since the early Mesolithic.🧡1/3

Square glass bead featuring a checkerboard mosaic border in tan, white, black, and reddish tones, surrounding a female face with prominent white eyes and a subtle smile on a black background

A #Roman face bead: the miniature human face was made either through the cold bundling of rods or the hot working of pre-made parts to form the visage, which was then stretched to make a cane that was cut into sections with identical faces. This facial design had a relatively short production...🧡1/2

Executives pressuring teams to build live service games, getting cold feet, and then shutting them down is becoming a distressing trend. Easily avoidable, but increasingly common.

Pour one out for one of the best studios to ever do it -- a colossal waste from Sony.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Archaeology conducted in space Archaeology conducted in space - Earth.com

Archaeologists study how people lived in the past by digging into the ground and examining the artifacts they left behind. A team of researchers has now applied that same logic to the International Space Station. The results offer a revealing look at how humans adapt to life beyond Earth.
