My friend who is a professor at UT is retiring in May. She is far from being alone, be it retirement or moving away. TX just dumbed down its universities and its standing in education, world-wide. Perfectly on brand for MAGA: moronic, short-sighted, and pointless.

I have given up on televised news. I get my news from Bluesky now, by following (and donating/subscribing to) @democracydocket.com, @contrariannews.org, and @propublica.org. Even @pbsnews.org platforms too many RWNJs and does too much both-sides nonsense.

It just tells me that I've drifted further and further away from pop culture over the years. I don't miss it.

BB certainly represents the ordinary people better. Sauron represents the billionaires who own almost everything and control (to the detriment of the rest of us) everything else.
