The dragon is relevant for another clue but not this one. Focus on what colour she is wearing.

My hearing aids won't be ready until January, which means one more Christmas period of failed socialising in large gatherings because I can't hear what's being said.
This has made me more sad than I expected.
Emma, just accept that running is now a migraine trigger and stop kidding yourself that it might have magically switched back to those days in my 20s when I could knock out 10k along the coast path without a problem.
Signed, Me (nursing a post-run eye stabbing migraine).
My heart snaps, and I bind it with tape and ribbon, just like the thoughtless gift now open in my lap.
‘It’s wonderful.’
‘I knew you’d love it.’ His kiss is warm, rehearsed.
I pretend to study the gift, my fingers trembling.
I found the ring in your coat. Whose finger does it sparkle on?

#SundayLit A3: Which colours regularly crop up in your storytelling? Why is that? 2/2
Here is a sample. Full range color use.
**Snip Konbini Idol**
All around was a clear **blue** sky, and far below were **green** prairies cut by **tan** roads. Houses clustered like prayer beads along them […]
#Sundaylit A2: Do you use colour based on its symbolic weight? How do you avoid using clichés when using colour symbolically? e.g. green for envy, red for anger.
I use color incidentally. Meaning some colors show up under certain conditions. It is seldom meant a symbolize. Nor is it cliché […]
#SundayLit A3: Which colours regularly crop up in your storytelling? Why is that?
Blue -> supernatural & hair color
Black -> style
Red-> Hair color
White/Silver/Gray -> fog, clouds
Green -> Growing things
I describe things, and color is part of that. It is part of a baroque writing style.

Colour:
It shimmered, it’s form a wavering mass of colour as though it was enclosed within a soap bubble. Within was a clockwork contraption, looking far too much like a ten-legged spider.
I did not like the look of it, especially the thick legs, the resembled the slightly curved […]
The wardresses at the Bearfort jail were a cynical and hard-bitten lot, who thought they had seen and heard everything, and they treated Jackie’s cries of distress with initial contempt. Anyone might feign illness, to try and get a softer bed in the infirmary. A quick look through the spyhole, however, had changed their minds quite quickly. Even they had never seen so much vomit come from one person, and never any that was such a virulent shade of green.

So far, every LI I have written favors wearing black. Except Kan-chan, whose color is pink.
Just a hint all of the LI's except Kan-chan are Goths.
#SundayLit 10/11 prompt is: Colour
The meaning of Blue.
For most horror and horror-adjective fiction, red is the color of fear. Demon eyes blaze red, fire crackles.
However, in "Otherside Picnic," blue represents otherworldliness, and that seeped into my work. Ghost and phantom flames give […]

The next day, rather late in the morning, Aiella burst into Burroughs’ cottage in a state of high excitement, with Eliana following rather more calmly behind. “I danced, Burroughs!” she cried, so loudly that Tess woke up and let off a bark. “Sorry, Tess. But I did! I danced at a ball, with everybody, and I wore a lovely dress and shiny shoes and oh, you should have seen me!” “And so I did see thee, lass, and a proper picture thou looked, too.” “What? How did you see me?” “Yon miss there,” nodding to Eliana, who stood smiling in the doorway “sorted it for me. I was sat up in the gallery, and her maid brought me summat to eat and a drop of beer, and I saw it all. Eh, but thou called to mind thy grandmother. A bonny lass she was, and very great at the dancing.” Aiella whirled round to face Eliana, who was laughing now. “Did you do that? Did you sneak Burroughs in just so he could see me?” “Yes, I did, and he had a fine old time up there, I hear, cracking stories with the musicians, and drinking about five pints of beer.” Aiella flung her arms about her, and squeezed her tight. “Oh, that was such a kind thing!” she cried. “Oh, Ellie, I do love you!” And if Burroughs noticed a strange, pained expression cross Eliana’s face as she heard this he never told anybody about it.

Happiness:
And here came Cole now, carrying a basket and a book, accompanied by his warm smile and a large dog at his heels. [cut text not relevant to happiness theme] “Hello, Maximilian,” Leo crooned, rubbing the dog behind the ears. “Good afternoon, Mr Fluffy Face.” Cole set down his encumbrances and spread wide his arms. “Wounded to the quick,” he announced. “An iota of the same enthusiasm, please.” Leo obligingly said, “Good afternoon, Mr Fluffy Face,” and congratulated himself on exactly matching it to the way he spoken to Max. “Better,” Cole said, though Leo noted with amusement that he rubbed his fingers across his impeccably-groomed short beard as he took his seat.

I triggered the latch, and carefully pushed against the gnarled, wooden surface. The ancient hinges creaked ominously as the door slowly opened.
I beamed as I gazed about the massive hall beyond. My smile must have been as bright as the room’s gleaming contents, so […]

Here are a few suggestions to show happiness:
- Outward physical cues and behaviours
- Internal physical sensations
- Cognitive responses
- Perhaps a character wishes to hide their happiness to another character, but not to the reader. How would you show this?
