A friend of mine always ate super healthy and fed her four kids that way. When her husband became ill and unemployable, she told me that ebt made it extremely hard to eat healthy. One of her children was allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts as well as gluten. A true Epi-pen allergy/ER trip

Some folks don’t have a working refrigerator, a freezer, a working stove/oven or microwave. Some children have to feed themselves in the morning and cereal is something they can make themselves. I’ve seen folks rent out rooms but deny access to kitchen. If the power is off, it’s hard to cook.
