i am not at work today. i have a home, family, and job to return to on sunday afternoon. the cruise line is giving us almost 75% of what we paid back as a goodwill gesture. the weather is beautiful and autumnal now that the wind has moved out. i have no complaints

my mom and i boarded our cruise in galveston yesterday afternoon and the ship hasn’t been able to leave galveston because an oil tanker hit the dock tuesday night and spilled oil in the bay so the coast guard had to close the port to clean it up 🫠 and the remnant hurricane winds were terrible

so they have to find someone else to do that, not my problem. plus i had to take delilah to the vet this morning and she was in good spirits overall but definitely grumpy when her injured nub was touched

AND the other half of this second VO session is scheduled for tomorrow when i will be OOO and they asked if i could move my time off and i was like no lmfao i can’t!!

i like VO directing and i think i am really good at it but it’s ridiculous and asinine to drop it on me with less than 24 hours notice and no one else to pick it up for me during conflicts. i had to reschedule my quick haircut which i was lucky my stylist was able to do

i spent almost all day yesterday directing a voiceover session for one project and i already had a full schedule of meetings for today and then EOD yesterday i had another almost full day of voiceover directing dropped on my calendar for today
