"Yeah, the fog striders? No holds barred, we don't actually really know anything about them. It's some shit straight out of Mist.Where there's fog or bad weather, that's where they can show, but most people don't even really notice them. To their credit though, they don't really tend to make any noise. Far as we know, they ain't dangerous. Anything getting wrecked or any physical mark being left behind is rare, but every now and then SOMETHING happens and SOMEONE either disappears or is found in a state that makes most of the crime scene photos I've seen look tame. Personally, that's more than enough to freak me out. Oh yeah, did I mention they also come in several shapes and sizes? It's not just the big guys, these damned things can get real weird. Needless to say, NOT a fan of having to track and record the striders, and anytime I have to I REALLY hope they don't see us or at least that they don't care."

"...Regarding the curious practices of the changelings, it is among those who have not left the caravans where the clarity of their religion lies. Those who have imbued themselves within our society and which are found often appear to forsake their ways, or consider them only in such secrecy wherein none may truly know their inclinations. I have recently had the luck to persuade a local caravan to divulge some of the detáils on these matters and have come to the following conclusions: Many changelings honor and revere a certain 'traveler' who appears sometimes as an empty man, a force which cannot be understood or an assortment of beasts, typically a spider, fish or a strange and blind waterborne serpent; among many others. There are many tales and myths regarding the manner in which the world came to be according to changeling thought, which vary greatly in what they present. The version i was presented with posits it as such:

The traveler was the first being, a man with no face who lived in a vast darkness. He could not bear this fate, so he took a piece of his bone and molded the first stone, which he lodged into 4 corners, creating the caverns and mountains. he explored his creation yet thought it unfinished, thus, he took his skin and laid it across much of the land like a pelt, creating the grasses and trees; likewise taking his tears, from them creating the waters of the world, along with breathing the winds and clouds into the empty skies. In continuing his exploration he grows content with what he has made, for the skies are beautiful, the world is lush, the waters glimmer. Yet, despite it all, he was still alone. A decision is made, and the traveler then proceeds to pierce his own flesh, shaping it like clay to create the beasts that roam the world today. The world rejoiced with life, yet the traveler's fate remains unknown. A variance of ideas persist regarding his whereabouts. Some say he continues to explore the world, now finally in true happiness, others claim he sacrificed every part of himself to become the very world on which we exist; some say he lives on through our own being, with the changelings made from his heart, thus being the closest to himself. The unknowable nature of his contemporary existence is one of the more common factors within the diverse practice of changeling thought, and is rather free to interpretation." - Galu Markaius in his "Codex of the World's Peoples"
