I read the Fitzgerald Iliad and the Fagles Odyssey back in college. I loved it--it was my first semester of being an English major. But the side-by-side with the new translation was the push I needed to pick up the Wilson

So excited for this. Great review. The comparisons between Wilson’s translation and fitzgerald/fagles are super helpful

I loved this piece. Another thing I miss from the DVD queue days is the built-in time lag. Either you watch whatever weird movie showed up in your mailbox or you wait a week to get something new. I rarely bailed on movies back then
