For years the right wingers have complained and railed over the concept of “participation trophies”. Saying that’s what’s wrong with the liberal left. What I’m seeing right now with these confirmation hearings is the republican equivalent to that.

Because of this funding freeze my wife’s livelihood is now at stake. She will lose her job, which will cause more financial hardship. And more broadly, the people who benefited from the organization she works for will be at considerable risk to life and limb.

If there was some sort of secret plan set in place prior January 20, 2025 that was supposed to protect our country and its citizens, now would be a good time to initiate.
